Was it normal for people to own two houses?

Amos 3:15 (ESV)

15 I will strike the winter house along with the summer house, and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall come to an end,”declares the LORD.

In a society where poor people were regularly being dispossessed of essential goods, owning more than one house was an excessive luxury,1 especially if they were adorned with ivory, which would have been very expensive.
