Who was “Hananiah, one of the perfumers”?

Nehemiah 3:8 (ESV)

8 Next to them Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, repaired. Next to him Hananiah, one of the perfumers, repaired, and they restored Jerusalem as far as the Broad Wall.

Again, we know nothing about the man. A perfumer was a commonly known profession, responsible for mixing spices to produce desirable ointments (1 Samuel 8:13). Hananiah would be the foremen, then, of a crew comprised of perfumers. This is the second group of volunteers demarcated not by family or town but by profession.
