Commentary on Job 30:21 (Summary)

Job 30:21 (ESV)

21 You have turned cruel to me; with the might of your hand you persecute me.

Job depicts God as a ruthless enemy. This is a false depiction, which he was led to by his friends’ reasoning. In their minds, suffering is God’s act of punishment.
