Commentary on Job 30:18 (Summary)

Job 30:18 (ESV)

18 With great force my garment is disfigured; it binds me about like the collar of my tunic.

This verse is difficult to translate. Job seems to be referring to the disfigurement of his body, which causes his clothes to hang loosely about him. Compare this to the earlier Job, whose appearance was that of a king (Job 29:7–14)!
