Commentary on Job 25:6 (Summary)

Job 25:6 (ESV)

6 how much less man, who is a maggot, and the son of man, who is a worm!”

Bildad’s speech ends very soon, an indication that he and his friends have no convincing reply to give to Job’s attacks on their doctrine of retribution. In fact, the speeches of all three friends have now come to an end. They could offer Job neither comfort nor any convincing answers.
