How is the value of the land determined?

Leviticus 25:16 (ESV)

16 If the years are many, you shall increase the price, and if the years are few, you shall reduce the price, for it is the number of the crops that he is selling to you.

If there are numerous years remaining until the Jubilee, the value is higher. If there are only a few years remaining, the value is lower. In other words, the value of the property is proportional to the number of crop years remaining until the Jubilee.
