The second festival mentioned in Leviticus 23:1–44 is the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The Hebrew term for feast
is derived from a verb which means, to make pilgrimage.
It is used here in an anticipatory sense. The term looks forward to a time in which the Israelites would be required to gather in Jerusalem to observe this festival (1 Kings 12:26–32).
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.
