Commentary on Ecclesiastes 2:16 (Summary)

Ecclesiastes 2:16 (ESV)

16 For of the wise as of the fool there is no enduring remembrance, seeing that in the days to come all will have been long forgotten. How the wise dies just like the fool!

We can also see this in people who are actually remembered by later generations. They are both wise and foolish. Paul’s name is still well known, but so are the names of Nero and Hitler.
