Commentary on Job 13:20 (Summary)

Job 13:20 (ESV)

20 Only grant me two things, then I will not hide myself from your face:

Now that the moment has come, it seems that Job is fearful. He had before expressed the fear that he would not be able to utter a word before God (Job 9:3, Job 9:32), or that God would destroy him with new afflictions (Job 10:3, Job 10:17). Therefore, before he ventures to lay his case before God, he first makes two requests.
