20 “Behold, God will not reject a blameless man, nor take the hand of evildoers.

Bildad reaffirms God’s righteousness. If Job is truly blameless, he may expect God’s blessing.

One wonders what Bildad and his friends would have made of the lash wounds on the back of the apostle Paul, or of the severed head of John the Baptist, or, most importantly, of the Man of Suffering himself?
