15 My brothers are treacherous as a torrent-bed, as torrential streams that pass away,

Job is disappointed in his friends (whom he calls his brothers). In them he has found no loving kindness to himself (Job 6:14). He is like a thirsty traveller (Job 6:18–20) and they are like dry riverbeds.
