Commentary on Job 4:21 (Summary)

Job 4:21 (ESV)

21 Is not their tent-cord plucked up within them, do they not die, and that without wisdom?’

We do not learn wisdom from looking at our mortality. If Job had wisdom, would he have spoken like he had?

Ironically, it is Eliphaz who is not being wise. He will eventually receive a true revelation from God, when God declares Job to be his righteous servant (Job 42:7).
