Commentary on Job 29:23 (Summary)

Job 29:23 (ESV)

23 They waited for me as for the rain, and they opened their mouths as for the spring rain.

In Job 29:22, Job has already compared his words with dew that falls gently to the ground. He now takes the metaphor further. His words were like rains that bring life. Just like the spring rain, his words were always received with gladness.
