In Job 3, Job enters the deepest valley of despair. At this moment, his task of glorifying God over against Satan becomes too heavy for him to bear. Job 3 is a raw cry of despair, not a careful theological contemplation. Job himself will later admit that his words have been rash
(Job 6:3). And yet, he never curses God. Stumbling on the right way is not the same as walking on the wrong way!
