Why does the verse tell us to taste?

Psalm 34:8 (ESV)

8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

God delivers his people. It is wonderful to experience how good that is. You taste the grace of God that saves a sinner. That tastes delicious. It is the taste of love and mercy. It makes you feel better to see God working in your life.
