1. Judges 3:7 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

Where does this verse bring us, chronologically?

Judges 3:7 (ESV)

7 And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD. They forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asheroth.

Though there is nothing in the syntax to mark that a time shift has happened, this verse’s contents certainly return us to the time and circumstances of Judges 2:11, where Israel first fell into apostasy.
