This testifies to the strength of Jesus’ faith.1 When one resists the devil in faith, he always flees (James 4:7). Jesus’ faith is therefore confirmed when Satan flees and the angels come to serve him.2
Satan had to leave immediately because Jesus commanded him to do so, because of Jesus’ faith, confirmed by the angels’ coming. Resisting the devil in faith always forces him to flee (James 4:7).
