We had come across a man named Henadad
in Nehemiah 3:18, with a son named Bavvai.
Perhaps this is the same Henadad, in which case the two men are brothers. As it is, we do not know whether that is so, and we are best off not to speculate. It is enough that the Lord tells us here that this Binnui repaired the piece of wall from the house of Azariah
—that is the man of Nehemiah 3:23 who built beside his own home—to the buttress and to the corner.
