What does Perez-uzzah mean?

2 Samuel 6:8 (ESV)

8 And David was angry because the LORD had broken out against Uzzah. And that place is called Perez-uzzah to this day.

Perez-uzzah means the outbreak against Uzzah. The same verb was also used to describe the Lord’s actions in 2 Samuel 5:20. Just as the Lord broke out against the Philistines, so he has broken out against an Israelite.
