2 Samuel 7:20 (ESV)

20 And what more can David say to you? For you know your servant, O Lord GOD!

Know is used in the sense of special recognition (see also Amos 3:2).1 The Lord knows the heart of David and he has determined to exalt him (see also 1 Samuel 2:7, 1 Samuel 2:10).
