What is “the King’s Pool”?

Nehemiah 2:14 (ESV)

14 Then I went on to the Fountain Gate and to the King’s Pool, but there was no room for the animal that was under me to pass.

We know nothing about this pool, other than that it lies further east along the south wall than the Fountain Gate (or already trending north).
