16 “If you have understanding, hear this; listen to what I say.

Again, Elihu appeals to the wisdom and understanding of his listeners (cf.  Job 34:2, Job 34:10). His arguments do not sprout from his own imagination (as did the accusations of Job’s friends). He speaks with careful reasoning.
