Commentary on Job 34:10 (Summary)

Job 34:10 (ESV)

10 “Therefore, hear me, you men of understanding: far be it from God that he should do wickedness, and from the Almighty that he should do wrong.

Elihu trusts that his listeners have understanding and that they will therefore know better than to agree with Job’s blasphemous statements. Elihu refers specifically to Job’s statement that God has denied him justice (Job 34:5).
