Commentary on Job 33:12 (Summary)

Job 33:12 (ESV)

12 “Behold, in this you are not right. I will answer you, for God is greater than man.

Elihu brings Job back to the truth that he had himself confessed: God is greater than man (Job 26:1–14; Job 28:1–28). Despite knowing this to be the case, Job had still accused God of injustice. He had spoken as if he is able to understand and pass judgment over God’s ways.
