How are we called to by God?

Romans 8:30 (ESV)

30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

Our calling concerns the actual calling by God to repent and come to faith in Jesus Christ. For the readers of the letter to the Romans, their journey in the faith indeed began with their calling (Romans 1:5–6).1
