What does 1 Samuel 24 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)?
Jesus Christ is the King who always allowed biblical principles rather than circumstances to govern his actions. When he was given the chance for glory without suffering, he remained faithful to God. He did not fall into the trap of the devil. Because he lived the perfect life, he was able to give his life as a ransom for sinners. In doing so, God can show mercy to me (because the penalty of my sin has been paid by his Son Jesus).
