The message of salvation is a message about the fulfillment of God’s promises to Israel through Jesus who is the Saviour. He is the promised seed who will crush the head of the serpent (Genesis 3:15) and bring blessing to God’s people (Genesis 12:1–3). This message has been entrusted to Paul and Barnabas and they now share it with the people in the synagogue, those who are descendants of Abraham and are known to worship the one true God.1
