What does it mean for Elymas to be a child of the devil?

Acts 13:10 (ESV)

10 and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?

A child of the devil is someone who behaves like the devil and advances the purposes of the devil. Saul makes it clear in public that Elymas is not inspired by God but by the devil and that he is truly the enemy of God and his will.1
