Who was Elymas?

Acts 13:8 (ESV)

8 But Elymas the magician (for that is the meaning of his name) opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.

Bar-Jesus is also called Elymas. The same person is in view. The name Elymas etymologically means or is translated as magus (magician).1
