Saul’s travelling companions helped him go into the city. They took him to the house of Judas on Straight Street (Acts 9:11). Straight Street is the name given to the main east-west road running through the centre of Damascus. It is likely that wealthy individuals occupied the houses on this street.1
8 Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.
