Commentary on Job 26:12 (Summary)

Job 26:12 (ESV)

12 By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he shattered Rahab.

Rahab is a mythological sea monster that symbolizes chaos and darkness. The sea itself is also chaotic and turbulent. Yet even these uncontrollable powers are fully under God’s control.
