Commentary on Job 24:3 (Summary)

Job 24:3 (ESV)

3 They drive away the donkey of the fatherless; they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.

Without a working animal, a poor person is left without an income. Yet God allows wicked men to take even an orphan’s only donkey, or a widow’s only ox.
