28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,

Given the fact that Jesus lived and ministered in Judah, he is referring to the wildflowers that grow in this part of the world.1 He affirms that the growing of the flowers is God’s work.2
