1. Leviticus 27:20 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

What is the context of verse 20?

Leviticus 27:20 (ESV)

20 But if he does not wish to redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed anymore.

Leviticus 27:20 anticipates a deceitful practice where the worshipper who dedicated the land to the Lord then sells it to another man. If he is caught in the act, the original owner forfeits the field. In the year of Jubilee, the land would revert to the sanctuary.
