What is the theological message of Leviticus 26?

Leviticus 26:1–46 (ESV)

1 “You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the LORD your God.

By reminding the Hebrews of their covenant obligation to keep the law, especially by abstaining from idolatry and by sanctifying the sanctuary, the Lord promised that their obedience would be rewarded by rain in the proper seasons, good harvests, peace in the land, and his presence with them. Leviticus 26:1–46 is a unique chapter in the Book of Leviticus; it is the only chapter that is neither legal nor ritualistic in nature.
