Commentary on Job 21:19 (Summary)

Job 21:19 (ESV)

19 You say, ‘God stores up their iniquity for their children.’ Let him pay it out to them, that they may know it.

Faced with the facts of life, Job’s friends might argue that the children of the wicked will be punished, even if the wicked himself escapes punishment. This is not a valid defence, says Job.
