17 “How often is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out? That their calamity comes upon them? That God distributes pains in his anger?

Bildad had claimed that the light of the wicked is put out and that calamity is ready for his stumbling (Job 18:5, Job 18:12). Job now asks for proof of this. How often has Bildad (and his friends) seen it occur in real life?
