On this occasion, laws regarding the Sabbatical year are placed within the Holiness Code (Leviticus 17:1–26:46). This serves as a link with Leviticus 23:1–3 and connects it to the weekly Sabbath. The importance of the Sabbatical year is reinforced by the repetition of the term Sabbath.
