On the surface, the flow of Leviticus 23:1–25:55 appears disconnected. One commentator has suggested that the laws of Leviticus 24:1–23 come on the heels of festival legislations as a reminder of the fact that the worship of God through regular sacrifices was to be carried out at all times, not just during the momentous occasions of the national festivals.
