What is the command of verse 15?

Leviticus 19:15 (ESV)

15 “You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

The Lord commands that no special favours are to be granted in the court of law. The terms poor (dǎl) and great (gāḏôl) together form a Hebrew merism; this serves to highlight that no one in society is to be given special treatment.
