Commentary on Job 20:23 (Summary)

Job 20:23 (ESV)

23 To fill his belly to the full, God will send his burning anger against him and rain it upon him into his body.

Zophar portrays the wicked man as a glutton who cannot get enough of wrongfully acquired riches (see Job 20:5, Job 20:21). Yet, as in Job’s case, the wicked man will soon face God’s anger.
