Summary of Psalm 147:13

Psalm 147:13 (ESV)

13 For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you.

In Psalm 147:13–14 we find the reason for praising God: the Lord blesses the re-building of Jerusalem. In Psalm 147:13a, this blessing is strongly accentuated, as the author says that God himself strengthens the bars of the city’s gates.
