For the sake of clarity, I am choosing the translation of the NIV here: “For without him [God], who can eat or find enjoyment?” It is important to realize this and to experience it as such. When someone enjoys relaxation, but does not see God’s hand in it, that person is not really enjoying it, not completely. You do not reach the height of praising the Lord. You will not achieve true enjoyment in your life, and you will not honour him.
