When did David go to Nob?

1 Samuel 21:1 (ESV)

1 Then David came to Nob to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech came to meet David trembling and said to him, “Why are you alone, and no one with you?”

Most likely David went to Ahimelech as soon as he had finished speaking with Jonathan. Seeing as his meeting with Jonathan took place in the morning (1 Samuel 20:35), there would have been more than enough time to travel to Nob on the same day.
