7 Will you speak falsely for God and speak deceitfully for him?

In their attempts to defend God, Job’s friends have done that which God hates, namely, lying. Since they are Job’s friends, they must know of his upright character. Yet they accuse him of secret sins, simply on the basis of his suffering.
