Three kinds of skin conditions are identified. The first condition is “swelling” of the skin. The term is derived from the Hebrew root which means “to lift up.” In all likelihood, this condition refers to some type of skin growth. The second condition is “an eruption.” This term is derived from the root which means “to make scabby.” The third condition is “a spot.” The Hebrew root of this term means “to shine bright.”
2 “When a person has on the skin of his body a swelling or an eruption or a spot, and it turns into a case of leprous disease on the skin of his body, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons the priests,
