Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending us your Son Jesus Christ, a glorious King who came to rescue us from the judgment we deserve so that we can enjoy life in your presence. Thank you that he perfectly obeyed your law and that he always rules with justice. Thank you that we can come to your table clothed in his righteousness. Please be at work in us by your Spirit to help us submit to Christ as King, specifically to grow in our love for fellow believers. We know, Lord, that you have joined us to your church and you want us to be one—to be united in prayer and doctrine. Please help us in this regard. May we look past ethnic and cultural differences to embrace one another and serve you together for your glory. Amen.
