1. Isaiah 13:17 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

Isaiah 13:17 (ESV)

17 Behold, I am stirring up the Medes against them, who have no regard for silver and do not delight in gold.

The army was coming with one goal in mind, and that was to destroy Babylon. They did not care about silver or gold and could therefore not be bought off or be distracted from their goal by loot. They were only interested in revenge, not money. This made them all the more dangerous.
