In what way is Moses a saviour?

Exodus 2:17 (ESV)

17 The shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and saved them, and watered their flock.

We read that Moses helps the shepherdesses. But it is expressed more strongly: he saved them. The seven daughters of the priest are treated harshly by shepherds, who drive them away to give the water that the young women had drawn to their own flock. Moses saves them. It is, so to say, a preview of Moses saving his people from the harsh treatment of the Egyptians.
