The word “life” (zoe) naturally expresses life as opposed to death. Sometimes it denotes a particular quality of vital existence, particularly when preceded by the term “eternal.” It is the life that Christ Jesus brought into this world, so that those who did not have fellowship with the Father may obtain fellowship with him.1
